Molly & I went uptown to see Adam Green at the Town Hall in Times Square on Saturday night.
As is the norm now a days, Security lunged at me after I started taking pictures and asked me to stop. Annoying, but a lot nicer than being manhandled like I was at Terminal 5 for the Beastie Boys show.
So I didn't get any good shots because I was still trying to figure out what the best setting was to use with the lighting I was exposed to. I was trying not to use my flash......oh well.
Anyway, Adam Green put on a side splitting hysterical show. Molly and I had fourth row seats and we were in fits of laughter the whole time. At one point he stopped, looked at us and a said he loved people with a sense of humor. Molly's laugh is loud and very infectious. The whole area around us had no choice but to be in non-stop laughing fits. It was a great show. Here's what I came up with:

(Sorry about the blur.).Adam Green walks out on stage in this ridiculous outfit. A star of David t-shirt with fringe. Here's where my laughing fit started:

He was trying to take himself seriously, but he did laugh at himself several times. How would you keep a straight face wearing a Jewish Super-hero rockstar outfit?

He now has a couple of back-up gospel singers in his band. He pointed out that the lovely lady on the left was of "Jamaican decent". ha ha:

Sorry, that was all I got before security politely asked me to stop!
Not to disappoint, here is a photo of him that I took of him when I saw him at the Bowery Ballroom with Jill a year and a half ago:

Ciao for now!

PS: Gail's baby? No baby. No sign of baby. I don't blame the baby, it's cold out, I would stay indoors if I were her too!

I had my doubts about Adam Green, but that show was awesome. His band sounded very Modern Lovers and A.G. reminds me not a little but a lot of Jonathan Richman. Except they rocked even more than the Modern Lovers and he was even funnier than Jonathan Richman.
