Hey everyone, it's Lauren from The Blonde Excuse guest blogging for Jocelyn while she spends Thanksgiving and her birthday in Mexico with some friends.

I figured that to keep you guys entertained, I'd post some new pictures of a couple concerts I went to at my school. My friend Jon is in two awesome bands, one of which you may have already seen on my blog in my entries Fall Concert and Late Night Uproar. As you may have guessed, Jon's first band is called Late Night Uproar. Jon is such a talented musician, as are the other members of LNU. Their 2006 album, "Say Hello To The Uproars," is currently on iTunes so you should absolutely download it (I especially recommend "Downtown Queen"). To hear some of their music, check out Late Night Uproar's MySpace page while their website is under construction.

LNU has headlined a number of NYC venues including the Knitting Factory, Pianos, and the Bowery Poetry Club and recently opened for Ashlee Simpson and and Muse at the Bank of America pavilion in Boston. Jon tells me that he and LNU are going to be working on a new album this winter with a producer in NYC and that their new stuff is going to be the best yet!

Unfortunately, I was away this summer while they were on tour in the northeast, but I have gotten to see Jon and his new band, Damn the Torpedoes, perform at Trinity a couple times. Jon and some other classmates of ours at Trinity play together at frats and parties covering everyone's favorite songs including some 90s favorites. I don't have the videos up yet, but hopefully I'll be able to post them on my blog sometime in the near future.

Anyway, here's a slideshow of pictures from Damn the Torpedoes' performances at Trinity College:

Don't forget to check LNU out on MySpace and iTunes!!
