It's Lauren from The Blonde Excuse again! Jocelyn actually only gave me one day of guest blogging while she's in Mexico, but it's a long wait until Sunday for Alexis' entry so I thought I'd do one more (hope you don't mind Joce!).

I already wrote about this on my blog and I know a number of you read both Jocelyn's and mine so I won't bore you with an identical entry, but I wanted to post some of my pictures from my recent road trip with my friends to Hamilton College in Clinton, NY to see our friends Ali and Greg on their 21st birthdays.

We left my school (Trinity College in Hartford, CT) around noon for what should have been a three and a half hour drive. Ten hours later we were still driving through the Adirondack Mountains where we got completely lost. How did this happen? GOOGLE MAPS!! NEVER USE THEM!!

Basically, we took a wrong turn and got on some mountain highway that took us up to the Canada border where we discovered we were going in the wrong direction. We were going to miss Ali and Greg's 21st birthday party at a bar they had rented out by Hamilton College if we didn't get there ASAP so we created our own route directly through the mountains and made it just in time to change clothes, do our hair, put on makeup in a single-stall men's bathroom at a gas station (EWW!) and then arrive "fashionably late" to the party. It was quite an adventure.

Here are my pictures from our time spent wandering through mountain roads in the Adirondack Mountains, not realizing we were going in the wrong direction.

Some highlights include:
*Crazy mountain people
*A deserted mountain town
*Stopping at a prison (by accident) to ask directions
*Bear proof trash cans
*Free "Send Help" signs at an abandoned rest stop in the mountains
*An abandoned gas station that sold nothing but knives and beef jerky
*"Steak House," the crazy mountain person version of Jocelyn's Peter Lugers

Some Highlights:
*Looking hot after 11 hours in a car together and changing in a men's bathroom
*Ali getting wasted and going home early only to pass out and not remember any of her birthday party the next morning
*My friend Molly getting drunk and changing her clothes on the sidewalk
