October 14, 2007Friday night was a spectacular disaster. I decided to have taco night at the BDL and invited over Debbie & Molly (Darren came too, but he'd already eaten). Debbie promised to bring flan, and Molly showed up around 8pm with wine. I got a text from Debbie that she was running late...she was having some sort of a fight with her flan. Sooooo Molly and I drank the wine and waited, waited waited for Debbie and the flan to arrive. Eventually, around 10pm the flan arrived with Debbie and taco night began. My turkey tacos were DELICIOUS! Yum. I think that tacos are the perfect food....actually Mexican food is just my favorite food ever and the only thing I really know how to make. Here are the pictures! Here it is! Debbie's cat vomit! aha aha a h Off to M Shanghai for dessert/drinks: Molly & Tim, outside for a smoke: Geoff, bartender extraordinaire: Ciao for now, Jocelyn October 14, 2007 07:11 PM CommentsI think you captured Darren's "come hither" side brilliantly. I got one...need to see the potential. :D Posted by: Jenifer at October 14, 2007 10:11 PM No, they were all taken with my Canon Digital Rebel! Posted by: Jocelyn at October 14, 2007 10:16 PM I've always wondered how you and Smitten Kitchen know each other...through blogging? Posted by: rosie at October 16, 2007 12:12 PM Nope. We were friends before either of us had a blog. We met through Really Gay Dave...who was roommates in college with my cousin Jacquelyn. Debbie started blogging first and then I was inspired by her and started Rock Star Diary. Posted by: jocelyn at October 16, 2007 12:27 PM I have actually known both RGD and Jaquelyn since we were freshmen in college. We lived on the same floor of our dorm! (Aw.) Oh, and then at the end of the year Dave came out of the closet and I was like, oh, I wasn't supposed to already know that you were gay? Uh, okay, then I didn't! I digress. I met Joc through Jacquelyn. Then, Dave and my first year in NYC when we knew almost nobody, Joc took us under her wing and we spent most of the year in her Greenpoint loft, at Blackout Betty's or Planet Thai. It was an awesome year. Posted by: deb at October 16, 2007 08:48 PM Ahhhhh The Greenpoint Loft and Black Betties (fondly referred to as BLACKOUT Betties) those were the days!
