« Explosion in mid-town | Main | Poolside Las Vegas »

July 19, 2007

I almost forgot to mention the most important part of yesterday. The Police & Firemen of NYC had that explosion scene in total lock down in about 15 - 20 minutes. THEY ARE SUCH ROCKSTARS. Now I know that in most towns and cities across the USA you probably have beef with your local donut eating, pig-swine power tripping cops. Hey I hear you. Collectively the Greenwich, CT, Santa Barbara, CA and Los Angeles Police Departments can SUCK IT, but NYC Cops are nice, helpful, sometimes really hot, and don't bother you for stupid traffic violations, J-Walking, Drinking on the streets, general rough housing and are always happy to pose for a photo, help you get home safely, come to parties with you and be the manly protectors they are supposed to be. SIGH. I should marry a NY cop (note to self, find a cop bar in NY and start hanging out there).

Here is my little homage to the NY Cops (don't even get me started about the firemen of NY, I might slide off my chair! aha haah)

Chip, Jocelyn and a super fun NYC cop:
Chip, Jocelyn Cop & Party Goers

Cop at a Darrens B-day Party last year. He just came and looked and then left and did not bust up the party. Cool.

Sometimes I look out my window and see this!

Jill & Jocelyn and our heros:
Jill & Jocelyn with the hot firemen

Once the firemen came to the building next door to us and Jill & I flew out of the building in our PJ's to get a photo:

Molly a recent transplant from N.C. is still warming up to the idea that cops & firemen in NY are fabulous. I understand it will take some time to rebuild the trust, after it was destroyed by years of Georgia cop abuse. Ugh? For some reason I think police in the south are particularly bad.

Jocelyn with a pair of NY's Finest:

Law abiding citizen David B. Fruit, Esq.:

We kid! We kid!

I even have my very own Police hat now:

This cop stopped by my neighbors party, to actually party not break it up:

Thanks for holding down the fort yesterday boys. Well done!

Ciao,

Jocelyn

I think that's one of the greatest set of pics you've posted! Also, I bet you've got handcuffs to go with that hat. ;)

Hah, the cops here in LA would never go for any of that stuff. I know too many people who have gotten stupid $80 jaywalking tickets.

Oh, I miss the NYPD! I have a feeling the cops in AZ aren't quite as fun. But I'm sure we'll find out when Jocelyn and Cousin Anthony come to visit.

It's true, cops in the south are pretty bad. They are mostly criminals. And in DC they suck too. But I am open-minded...enough to go to a cop bar.

Jill: I am almost positive that the cops in Arizona suck really bad. Be very wary.

It's on. After meeting the kittens on Wednesday -- we will hunt out a cop bar! We can even ask the local EV cops where they are!

Wow, I can't believe I'm saying (this because I'm not the biggest fan of the police in general), but that cop handcuffing you is absolutely hot. Those eyes- he could be my type. If he were also emotionally unavailable and completely dysfunctional, he'd TOTALLY be my type.
