January 10, 2007Dear Steve Jobs, You had me at....hello. I cannot wait until June when the new iPhone comes out. Shit, I almost bought a new Sidekick last week. Thank God I waited. Kendra & I are saving up and we are going to switch to Cingular (they suck but who cares--look at that phone) and get the iPhone the day it comes out. I am beyond excited. In other news. I got Sonic Youth tickets today, for a February show in NYC. If you don't know them brush up your music collection fool! They are definitely in my top 5 bands of all time. At this point they could be used on a soundtrack of my life since 1992. Here's some youtubes videos for your viewing pleasure. Incinerate, a song from their new album (which rocks BTW) I seriously listen to this song almost every single day of my life, since it is on every single one of my playlists on my I-Pod. OMG I found a live version! How much do you love youtube???: And another of my favorite songs is Tunic. It's a song written for Karen Carpenter: Ok, that is your alternative rock music lesson for the day. Memorize it, then go out & buy a guitar, learn it and then change the world. Well, I had a Sidekick 2, left it on the bumper of my car....I live outside of Detroit, so yeah, snow and rain and LOTS of it....right on my Sidekick. Sooooooooo, went out and got the Verizon Chocolate (I do love it so far).....just a mere couple days before the iphone was all over the news - blah blah blah. Fortunately I have only a 1 year contract on the Chocolate, so next January I can get the iphone....of course there will probably be like an ephone or an fphone by then :)))) Sonic Youth (not so much) sorry!
