Last week Jill and Tim came up with the really bad idea of going to the Rodeo. For some backwards reason the Bullriders Championship was at Madison Square Garden. Being a New Yorker and formally an Angeleno and nice waspy girl from CT, obviously I had never been to a rodeo. As a matter of fact none of us had. We had visions of thousands of drunk Mexicans and wild cowboys getting butchered by bulls, and Creepy Uncle Steve getting into fights about his Puerto Rican heritage. Suddenly this bad idea was starting to look like it might be the best night ever!
As soon as we sent out the all staff e-mail to the gang, we had 10 people lined up for this night. At $15 a ticket (plus evil ticketmaster charges) how could one say no? Jill and I went online and ordered up 5 tickets a piece.
We arrive last night and go to will call and guess what? Ticketmaster (evil corporate conglomerate) screwed up and 5 of our tickets were for the 8pm show (that we had arrived for) and the other 5 were for the 2pm show which was long since over. How could they be so retarded? Oh yeah, they are ticketmaster and they suck it. Since the show was basically sold out (except for a few overpriced front row seats) 5 of our dear and favorite people bowed out. I was so angry! Well I was, until I went to the rodeo. Let's just say I am so glad I did not grow up in Texas (Sorry Alice). What a fluffin nightmare. And what kind of idiot gets on a bull? And the crowd was either a lot of parents from NJ with kids or disappointed hipsters like us, looking for drunken brawls to break out, or at least one cowboy to be ripped to shreds by a bull. Nothing. Nada. Neit. Sigh.

But at least I took a lot of pictures. And Jill slipped the trannie porn into Alexis's purse! Aha aha ah aha ahahha ah hah ahah a ahahaha haha

Tim picked out this ghetto Irish bar near The Garden, for us to meet up in before the show. This is the last surviving part of NYC that is still like the NYC of the 70's & 80's:

It is hard to imagine nice quiet, reserveed girls like Oh Jackie Oh and Jill doing anything innapropriate for the camera:

So here are the bullriders. Typically each ride lasts 5 to 8 seconds. So they had a few bullrides spread out with bad country bands and really cheesy clown shows in between. The highlights was when Tim would periodically scream out "You Suck"

After a bullride was over the bull would run back into the bull pen. This bull was like no way! Ran all over the satdium and a cowboy had to go lasso him and drag him back. aha aha hahahha

So that's it. I have gone to the rodeo and know that I would never survive in Texas. And I am totally over my cowboy boyfriend fantasy.
