December 24, 2006I'm Back! Sooo two weeks ago I went to Darla's birthday party at her super swank Chelsea townhouse. By the time I got the pictures from Darren (I forgot my camera) I was being tortured at Beth Israel. So I am finally getting around to blogging them now: Darla in her new birthday shirt with Amy Clarke: That's all. I promise to be back really soon with sexy hospital pics, x-mas morning, presents and a very long past due Rockstar Diary contest! Ciao for now! Jocelyn December 24, 2006 12:30 PM CommentsI think I should go on the hospital diet of pain killers instead of food. Why didn't Mary Kate think of that? Posted by: Lauren at December 24, 2006 01:51 PM yay! welcome home chickie... hope you have a fast recovery. I'm sure Deb will hook you up with some yummie foods you can eat.
Lisa. Posted by: Cupcakes at December 24, 2006 03:55 PM Hey lady! Glad to hear you are out of the hospital. I was following your adventures at Beth Israel from Deb's blog. I just had my gall bladder out on Wednesday, so I know what you're going through. Loads of fun, right? Be sure to pass on any lovely bland recipes because I'm on the same diet. Merry freakin' Christmas. Posted by: Jessica at December 24, 2006 06:19 PM I'M SO HAPPY! I just got back from visiting Jocelyn at her parent's house in CT and she looks FABULOUS. Seriously -- she's no longer ghostly white, doubled over in pain and shaking all the time. She can also understand complex sentences again. It's great to have you back! I can't wait for the triumphant return to Brooklyn. We'll throw a very bland oatmeal-inspired welcome back party in your honor where everyone has to wear hospital gowns except you. Posted by: Jill at December 24, 2006 06:57 PM Yay!!! I'm so glad you're better. Merry Christmas! Posted by: Crystal at December 24, 2006 07:00 PM Welcome home!! I missed your blog! Sunny Florida tends to be a little boring, so I enjoy reading about your life. Merry Christmas!! Hope to see you soon... Posted by: Aunt Susan at December 25, 2006 09:13 AM Yay! Joc is back! We've missed you. I'm glad you got sprung before Christmas. Q: Can you eat sugar-free truffles? No-knead bread? I have much menu-planning to do. Hooray for morphine-drip diets! Posted by: deb at December 25, 2006 02:24 PM Cupcakes, Jill, Jessica & Crystal: Thank you! Glad to be back. Aunt Susan (Sade): I will See YOU in February, Poolside baby! I am so excited. Debbie: I can have small amounts of bread--just no spices like nutmeg. Bad. I am very weak, a trip to CVS & the video store last night exhausted me. I was shaking when I got back. But I continue to eat and I get stronger and I still feel that losing 14 lbs made the whole ordeal worth it! Ha! Joce Posted by: Jocelyn at December 25, 2006 02:55 PM Glad to hear you escaped before xmas. That would have sucked in such a bad way. Hope the next month flies for you... Posted by: michael at December 26, 2006 11:00 AM I just started a loaf of the 20-hour bread for you last night. Are you back at work this week? I'll send you home with a big chunk of it. You can keep it in your freezer and just take it out a slice at time. Posted by: deb at December 26, 2006 11:01 AM THANK YOU! I will be back at work tomorrow--Wednesday, but probably only half day... Posted by: Jocelyn at December 26, 2006 01:28 PM Welcome back! I was hoping you'd be out for Christmas. :) Here's to a speedy recovery and you getting back to your fun lifestyle ASAP! Cheers! Posted by: Keely at December 26, 2006 02:00 PM OMG 14 pounds....holy crap, that's incredible!! I totally need to get sick before summer...we'll, no drinking OR smoking? Mmmmm, maybe not. Glad you're back. Merry Christmas!
