December 18, 2006Horray!!! Jocelyn has two exquisite guardian angels that heroically rescued her from the depths of anguish and despair - I'm referring, of course, to Beth Israel Hospital. This "hospital" was not the glorious respite of our dreams, but appeared rather as a not-so-modern-day version of the asylum from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Bedpan that was left in her bathroom for TWO DAYS - eew! The only good thing about it was all the functions on the Craftmatic adjustable bed that I kicked Jocelyn out of so I could watch the television that she had to rent. I don't know why, but an adjustable bed makes me so happy (alternatively, it could have been the Xanax Xmax special - there's no way of knowing).
Her liberators were none other than her chic parents, who quickly whisked her away to a fantastically decadent facility in CT, which came complete with a welcoming committee, flat panel television, lounge chairs, room service menu, and everything else a five star hotel would offer its valued guests. So stop your worrying everyone - she is in extremely capable and attractive hands at the moment. And I saved the best for last - Jocelyn is being released tomorrow (clearly not for good behavior). Yeah!!! Don't worry, I forewarned her that she can not expect first-rate service like she is receiving in Greenwich Hospital back at home. In Brooklyn, we fetch our own drugs. Happy Chanukah!

Posted by: Jill at December 18, 2006 11:46 AM Yay!!!! I guess this means no surgery. A Hanukkah miracle. Posted by: Crystal at December 18, 2006 12:20 PM Glad to hear Jocelyn is coming home. Although that hospital sounds like a vacation. Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas! Posted by: Keely at December 18, 2006 12:57 PM Feel better Jocelyn!! I think you should ask Mom and Dad to buy you a resort souvenier from the hospital gift shop (it's way nicer than you'd think!)
