October 02, 2006Jill & I hosted an engagement party ( I mean bash) for Steve and Gail at the Barbie Dream Loft Saturday night. It was such a wild out of control success that the blog about it is going to have to be a two part mini series. Mozel Tov! Jill and I scoured the dream loft and rearranged the whole place to fit the 55 expected guests coming over for cocktails. That is why there are still 3 dining room chairs, a blender and coffee maker in my bedroom..... Jill setting up the hor d'ouerves table: Thursday night Stinky Kyle came over and my light boxes are FINALLY all up. I put tea light candles in all of them, which looked really cool: Earlier in the evening--the tame party: Jill, Darren & Really Gay Dave: Cute new neighbors from CT: Sammy & Brett: Also, I put Tim's advice to really good work. I found a super cute victim, I mean friend. I poured 8 count tequila cocktails. I peppered my conversations with hyphenated words like K-Hole and cross-dressing, his advice was working for most of the night. Then I got called off to do some sort of hostess duty, like let someone check their e-mail and burn a CD and my victim, I mean friend, had disappeared, without even saying good-bye. Total failure. Sigh. Ciao for now, Jocelyn October 2, 2006 11:27 AM CommentsThe party was awesome! Thanks girls - You Rock. Posted by: gail at October 2, 2006 01:19 PM You're So Welcome! Thank you so much for the Henri Bendels Gift Certificate (that's right bitches). Of course I forgot it at home today because I am still drunk from Saturday. But I will document the whole trip and that will be another blog entry. Cheers and Congrats! Posted by: jocelyn at October 2, 2006 02:13 PM Looks like a lot of fun! Your neighbors look very Connecticut by the way. My favorite picture is definitely Dave and Jocelyn, it's really cute. Can't wait for the next group of pics! Posted by: Lauren at October 2, 2006 03:43 PM I was wondering if you knew them?? They are from Greenwich and they are 23--a little older than you, but maybe they were seniors when you were a freshman?? Anyway, they are like cake or a Godiva chocolate. Yeah perfect little confections. aha ah aha ha aha ha Posted by: jocelyn at October 2, 2006 04:04 PM Jocelyn where did you get the glass picture boxes? Or did you make them?
