Jill dragged Horton & I to go see Mike's band at Scenic on Ave. B in the East Village. When we got there another band was playing that was so loud and awful we went to the upstairs bar and waited for Mike's band to go on.
Finally Mike came and got us and we headed downstairs and found a nice spot in the corner to watch. Mike was really good playing drums, however, he should fire the rest of the band. They were dreadful. They were making noises with their guitars that sounded like a combination of what it would sound like if you dropped a guitar and what the subway sounds like when it is screeching to a halt. It was painful. I had my ears plugged about half the time. The sad part is that Mike has a beautiful voice and actually is very musical and has real talent and the rest of band won't even let him sing.
Well, I have done my duty, I don't have to go see them again. Sigh.

Here's the only pictures I took, it was too painful to get to close--my ears are still ringing:

Ciao for now,

Jocelyn
(was that mean? sorry I am so truthful)
